FAQs
On what basis are professional fees charged?
Our fees are based solely on the amount of professional time provided. Hourly rates for each of our associates are based upon his or her consulting experience and expertise, and are generally consistent with the billing rates charged by comparable professional service firms.
It is our normal practice to provide a written proposal with respect to specific compensation consulting requirements and tasks. Each proposal contains an estimate of the total cost of the assignment in the form of a range of fees to which we strictly adhere.
What is our confidentiality policy?
All proprietary information provided to GK Partners pursuant to the informational and data requirements of a consulting assignment is held on a completely secure and confidential basis. If necessary, certain materials can be returned to the client upon completion of an assignment, and we are pleased to sign an appropriately-written Confidentiality Agreement where required.
What is the typical duration of a consulting assignment?
Each client assignment is unique and it is therefore difficult to identify a typical timeframe for completion. However, our experience suggests that many consulting projects can be completed within a 60 to 90 day period. Other assignments and projects can be expedited as required to conform to our clients' needs (e.g., Board meeting schedules, transactional and contractual deadlines, executive hiring requirements, or other time-constrained situations).
How are consulting projects staffed?
A senior member of GK Partners personally participates in each assignment and task, including client meetings, presentations and the development and implementation of compensation plans and recommendations. Other members of our professional staff may participate where their expertise is useful and as the workload requires. Assignments often utilize the services of one Partner and one Associate who are supported by our administrative staff.
Who are our principal client contacts?
We are typically retained by and work closely with the following management and Board level positions, as well as investors and other professional advisors:
Chief Executive Officer
Chief Operating Officer
Chief Financial Officer
Top Human Resources Executive
General Counsel
Corporate Secretary
Compensation Committee of the Board
